STAYING IN THE DUCK HOUSE
When love-birds choose to explore the grounds there are no less than 12 enchanting acres of private gardens to be discovered. On clement days lay a champagne picnic out by the river and enjoy a lazy lunch in the company of swans, kingfishers and fleeting dragonflies. Take advantage of the kayak and wile away the day under the late afternoon sun.
The warm and cosy building provides pure comfort on winter evenings, and the sun streams through the windows dancing with the reflections from the water.
FACILITIES
The Duck House at the Granary is a self-contained one bedroom retreat next to the gentle Mill Stream. Enjoying panoramic views across the main garden and access directly onto willow lawn, it is relaxing and cosy – the perfect place to de-stress.
This limestone built, open-plan studio is enhanced with chunky cast iron radiators. Beautifully finished, with a modern kitchen fitted with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and small freezer. Guests can also request washing and drying facilities from the main house.
There is a private path that leads from the main gates to the Duck House. Parking is available adjacent to the accommodation but assistance with bags can be given.
